FORENSIC TECHNOLOGY GROUP
(‘FTG”)
For
several years, our firm has concentrated its efforts in the area of
forensic analysis. With the transformation of information flow through
computer technology, the internet and E-commerce, fraud is taking on
a new face altogether.
Summarized below are some aspects in which FTG could be instrumental
in uncovering information of great value to a case riddled with computer
fraud:
• Recover data that you thought was lost forever and recover, unlock
and access deleted files;
• Document any means of concealing the data for possible use later
as evidence;
• Unlock and examine password protected files;
• Examine electronic files for noteworthy evidence;
• Determine the author and creation, or modification, date of
particular documents or files, to identify who created particular directories,
which computer in an office or location created certain diskettes, and
similar comparisons relating to document and file creation;
• Examine a computer to find out what its user has been up to;
• Investigate misuse of computers/internet by employees;
• Examine the original computer, specify description of the hardware
and identify anything unusual found during the physical examination
of the computer;
• Provide expert testimony in court, if necessary;
• Advise on how to keep data and information safe from theft or
accidental loss; and
• Thorough erasure/cleaning of hard drives.
